The Cliffs at Keowee Falls has about 220 full and part-time homeowners. The residents actively support the CRO through their financial support as well as volunteering in local schools.
Programs which we have supported primarily through funding include: Technology Support, Reading Programs, Homework Center, Teacher Training, School Supplies, Hygiene Supplies, Clothes/Medical, Field Trips, Books and Drug Prevention (described in the first link below). In Oconee County we are increasingly providing hygiene supplies, clothes and food through Grace’s Closet, a local nonprofit which we have helped to establish outlets in the schools we support. School programs reliant on volunteer support and donations include: Mentoring Programs, Tutoring programs, Teacher Support and various volunteering and donation options (described in the second link below). Questions about these programs should be directed to Advisory Council Members.
In the fall of each year the CRO Advisory Council presents to our community a proposed budget that has been jointly developed with the schools. The community is asked during our Annual Appeal to support the budget with their donations. Questions about the budget should be directed to the Keowee Falls Treasurer.

Walhalla High School is located in Walhalla, SC, near the Cliffs at Keowee Falls. While the school enrollment is over 1,000 students, the CRO focus has been on their “Success Program” which targets about 140 MS/HS students each year that are potentially “at risk” of not graduating.
Collins Children’s Home is located nearby in Seneca, SC. This Christina nonprofit group home cares for about 17 children and provides a place where they feel acceptance, safety, permanence and dignity while teaching them important life skills.
The role of the Advisory Council is to identify programs consistent with our mission that can best support the schools, raise funds to support those programs, coordinate with the CRO Board, communicate activities to our Cliffs residents and encourage residents to volunteer, most notably as tutors and mentors to students.
